INFLUENCES JAPAN – SWEDEN

2018 marks 150 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sweden. Cultural exchange is a significant part of cooperation between countries and both our countries have for some considerable time collaborated in various ways in the textile field.

The Swedish Weaving Academy in partnership with Friends of Handicraft,

K A Almgren Silk Weaving Mill & Museum and Fiberspace Gallery will be putting on several interesting textile related shows this autumn with particular reference to weaving and dyeing techniques.
